#7 from aphotic love feel, the debut EP from KADE.
#7 is a live improvisation that occurred during jam sessions leading up to KADE’s first live outing in June 2013.
KADE is a combination of two minds; that of Rysic Cygo (Ash West-Mullen) and SubTric. Together they create improvised, electronic beatscapes using a laptop and bass guitar. Their live show is unique in that no song is performed the same twice and yet they lay down solid grooves with elements of introspection, feeding off the energy in the room and the vibe of the evening. The music is organic, dark & twisted with driving intensity and subtle complexity.
Neat idea for an album (comprised of 1-minute mini-songs) which showcases quickly but elegantly the talents of the artists contained here. It's also for a good cause, plus introduced me to several artists who are new to me, but who I can already tell I will enjoy further by checking out their respective other releases. Jim Payne
With songs that run from dizzying drum & bass to eerie, spacious electronics, “Zawadi” is an artful, boundary-pushing record. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 27, 2016
